The Neck

This is my work log of how work with the neck progressed:

When doing this, do not forget to think about the body too. There are many things to keep in mind, one example is how the distance of the neck effects the location of the bridge. I made both the body and the neck at the same time.

Before you commence with this you will need to choose what dimensions you want for your neck, you should also consider if you want to use a truss rod or not. I decided the dimensions during the work, but I do not recommend it.

27th of December:
Today I have used sandpaper to improve both the neck and the body.

28th of December:
Today I have continued to use sandpaper on the neck, I have also glued the extra space to the neck. I will let it dry to the 30th of December.

I will have to make the neck much smaller, since the fretboard will add on its size.

31st of December:
Today I have worked a great deal with the neck, I have both worked with the spacer and with trimming down the neck itself. I will have to see if I need to trim it down any more.

Afterwards I noticed that I sadly had cut to much on the head, as you can see the tuners are wider than the head. I will see if I do anything about this, but from the front this is unnoticeable. A quick and easy solution could be to file the tuners a bit.
